FIRST RANT: Media

I was going to do a rant on the Kardashians but I'm not going to waste my time ranting about them when we all say the same thing in the end. They're only famous because of Ray J's black dick !

So I've decided to rant on the Connecticut High School Shootings; The Media & Celebs.
Someone posted in Morgan Freeman's name (it was a hoax) a statement on the shootings: 

''You want to know why? This may sound cynical, but here's why. It's because of the way the media reports on it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theatre shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single victim of Columbine? Disturbed people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he'll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody." 

Who ever wrote that statement, who is hiding behind a celebs identity is a very smart person. We spend too much time encouraging and making KILLERS household names, celebrities and not acknowledging the 26 children who won't see their SWEET 16th BIRTHDAY, 26 children who won't ever have their first love, first kiss, 26 children who won't see another Christmas. I bet none of us can name every single child that died. They're just another statistic in the Media's eyes. It's just disgraceful how the media manage to turn a serious delicate situation and just say stuff like ' if the body count holds up this will rank up as the second dead list shooting behind Virginia Tech ' how does one shooting statistic make another one better ?

The media will never change. But we can. We can stop encouraging the media by watching or buying their channel or newspaper. 26 CHILDREN died but yet they're so fixated on the people who caused this tragic situation and not dedicating their air time to the people who have been brutally murdered. These crazy ass fools could've killed America's next president or actor/actress. Instead of focusing on the lives of these children the media are showing these killers faces everywhere getting them known all over the world.

In addition to the shootings Obama wants to bring in new gun laws. Don't get me wrong I love Obama, but what are gun laws going to do ? There are laws on not killing or raping people but people still do, this new gun law does need to be enforced but only papers over the cracks over something that God forbid could happen again. And again.

We should be remembering the children who were killed and be praying for their souls and praying for their families. Turn off the news. Stop letting murderers become famous and try solving the problems and issues that enabled murders to go into a High School and mercilessly massacre children. High School, any school, we often find to be a safe place for your children to be. After this, how many more nut jobs will try copycat the actions of those responsible for the Connecticut Shooting?

God bless the families of these children, we hope they eventually find peace and strength during this difficult time.
