So,what if you had a  boy mate. Then, you WENT OUT with this boy mate. After a period of time, you two split up. He gets a new girlfriend. He really likes her-REALLY. You're still close. You still care about him. You still have MAJOR feelings for this guy.

The idea for the source of  this topic comes from an episode of Geordie Shore (yes, don't judge) when Holly (whom has intense emotions for her friend and ocassional shag buddy James,also in the Geordie Shore house) meets James' newer, more attractive girlfriend Kate.

She then becomes "best friends" with her, bonding over cocktails in an overcrowded club where they have to shout to trade secrets about James.
The "Befriending Act" means that you still have access to your ex WHILST keeping a mascara 'd eye on his new relationship. Except... it also means that if you still wanna check up on him, you still care about him and love him.
So do something.
